About Jamia Siddiqia

Education is so much emphasized in Islam that the messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” The companions of the messenger, may Allah be pleased with them, cherished this little piece of advice and changed the course of history, guiding the whole of mankind.

Jamia Siddiqia was named after Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, the best companion of the messenger and the first caliph of Islam. The Islamic seminary was established to bring excellence of knowledge and action back to the ummah and raise a generation of Muslims once again who would follow in the footsteps of the Sahaba (May Allah be pleased with them).

We offer to our pupils the knowledge of the Quran and the Sunnah and also emphasize learning the Arabic language itself. Bangla and English language are also taught as compulsory subjects in the Jamia. We aim to equip our pupils with the knowledge and skills that are necessary to lead an exemplary life and to guide the whole of mankind as the Sahaba did.

Running such an institute, however, wouldn’t have been easy without your sincere advices, supplications, and support. We gratefully remember all who have been supporting us since the very first day,  especially Mrs. Rahela Begum, the late UK resident who donated a piece of land upon which the first campus of Jamia Siddiqia was established. May Allah accept our efforts and unite us in Jannah.
